The European Union will develop a major research project in Romania in the upcoming years. It is a cosmic research institute, which will be arranged in Slănic Saline
County authorities were contacted a few days ago and they are to hold talks with EU officials Thursday regarding the center to be developed in the Slănic Saline.
Used in the past for aircraft model making competitions the Slănic Saline is to be used to for cosmic studies after being selected by the EU out of several such salt mines in seven countries.
The investment is worth 580 million Euros and it will create around 1400 jobs openings in the cosmic research field.
