Antena 3 and the Observer are nominated for the third consecutive year at the New York Festivals World's Best Television & Film
"There are four nominations. Four campaigns / outstanding documentaries made by my colleagues," Mihai Gadea said, on Antena 3.
Last year, Antena 3 and the Observer were awarded the gold medals, silver and bronze at the New York Festivals World's Best Television & Film along with the most important stations of the world, in a ceremony held on April 8.
These year’s four nominations at New York Festivals consist of two footages In premiere: Ceausescu’s flock (nominated in Docudrama) and Mengele Guinea Pigs (nomination for Best Editing); to which are added two successful Observer campaigns: Lost Generation (nominated for Best News Documentary / Special) and Donate Red (Human Interest nomination).
CEAUŞESCU’S FLOC – IN PREMIERE
At the time that Romania seemed to be a huge prison, there were people who managed to escape from it. Only that was not easy, nor cheap. The communist regime has forced foreign governments to pay for the right to freedom of these Romanians. And they left, without looking back. Just Romanians sold by the secret police , with them we have lost valuable people too.

MENGELE’S GUINEA PIGS - IN PREMIERE
Dozens of Romanian twin pairs were subjected to cruel experiments ordered by Nazi Joseph Mengele Nazi. They were young, beautiful, innocent and had their whole lives before them. But it was not so. The children passed through the hands of Hitler's doctor, so they were transformed into guinea pigs, the Nazi torturing them to death and leaving others with lifelong handicaps . DONNATE RED FOR ROMANIA - OBSERVER CAMPAIGN
On April 28, Antena 1 Observer program launched a campaign for Romania Donate RED, eliminating red from the emission of news relevant to the topic. Therefore, "donate red" became the recurrent message of the week April 28, 2014 - May 2, 2014, for 3 minutes a day during the Observer program when the screen was deprived of the red color while relevant news on the topic was presented .

Over 30,000 thousand children went abroad immediately after the Revolution. Basically, in the 90s, Romania lost a generation. There are children Romania officially put for adoption but informally big money were paid for them especially in the United States and in other countries such as Canada, France, Italy and Greece
