Antena 3 was the absolute leader of the news stations in February, according to the numbers provided by Kantar Media over 3 million viewers watched at least for one minute the television programs broadcast by the news channel of the Intact Media Group. During daytime, Antena 3 registered on average 7.8% market share and an increase of 11 percent rating compared to February 2013.
At night, in prime time, Antena 3 has had an average of 3,8% rating and 7,5% market share compared to the same period last year, the TV channel rating rose by 12%.
During the morning time from 6 to 10 o’clock, when Antenna 3 broadcasts ‘Morning News with Nadina Câmpean and Marius Ioniţă’ , the TV station rating has risen by 8%, compared to the same month last year, and in Day Time (10-16), when ‘Today’s forecasts with Sabina Iosub’ are broadcast, as well as ‘It happens in Romania with Maria Coman’, ‘The 12 o’clock News, The 14 o’clock News‘ programs and the ‘Essential’ show with Alina Petrescu” (15.00), the station has registered a 15% growth. Also, between 16.00 to 19.00 (Access), with Alina Petrescu and Alessandra Stoicescu anchoring the shows Essential” (16.00) and „100 minutes”(17:00) – Antena 3 rating rose by 13%.
In the top programs broadcast by the news channels, Antena 3 productions dominate the rankings, the "Daily Summary with Mihai Gadea," "Meeting Point with Radu Tudor", "Subjective with Razvan Dumitrescu", "Sequential with Adrian Ursu" and "Q & A with Alessandra Stoicescu "make the top 5 highest rated programs.
Compared to the average market share, "It happens in Romania with Maria Coman" (11.00), "Daily Summary with Mihai Gadea," "It happens in Romania" (13.00), "Today’s forecasts with Sabina Iosub" and "In the press with Mircea Badea "are productions occupying the first five places in the rankings.
Also, shows like „Income with Adrian Măniuţiu” and „Panorama with Oana Stănciulescu” have defeated their direct competition up to 100%, which means they have been preferred by the audience watching the news at every broadcasting (leadership).
Antena 3 is the only news station in Romania affiliated to CNN International and is part of the Intact Media Group.
