Be EU: Bureaucracy burdens Romania
Maltese The MEP Marlene Mizzi and lawyer Florin Mihut were Sabina Iosub's guests during the show Be EU, at Antenna3. The main topic of the discussion was the legal framework for SMEs and how they can be helped, as well as the challenges that a successful entrepreneur must face.
"SMEs should not wait for help, they should look for opportunities. European countries should ensure that there is a framework for that to happen. The competition is tough. The contractor must ensure that the chosen field is the right one for what he wants to offer. The contractor is required to make good planning. It has many competitors, is not easy, but entrepreneurship is something that can be fun", believes Marlene Mizzi.
Florian Mihuţ believes that at the moment there is a clear need for changes to the legal framework.
"The biggest problem is the harmonization of legislation in the Member States ... Many SMEs had to deal with the crisis, have gone bankrupt. There were no measures to prevent this situation. Many of the current measures are not viable. The measures announced by the Commission in 2008 are not implemented not even today, "said Florin Mihuţ.
