The financial analysts expectations regarding the evolution of the Romanian economy in August showed the strongest improvement among countries in Central and Eastern Europe , thus Romania has reached the best prospects in the region, together with Slovakia, Mediafax informs.

The index measuring perceptions of analysts for the next six months increased in August by 18 points, up to 50 points, level registered also by Slovakia, but after a slow advance of 15.4 points, according to a survey from the Mannheim Research Centre for European Economic (ZEW), supported by the Austrian group Erste.
None of the analysts consulted do not anticipate a worsening of the economic situation in Romania and Slovakia over the next six months.

Among the countries with the best prospects in the region, Romania and Slovakia are followed by the Czech Republic (41 points) and Austria (38.9 points).

The current situation of the Romanian economy, however, is perceived by most of the financial analysts as merely "acceptable". Therefore, according to the index assessing the economic situation, currently Romania ranks in the fourth position in the region with 20 points, after the Czech Republic (45.5), Poland (43.5) and Slovakia (27.3).

For the Central and Eastern Europe region, which includes Turkey, the ZEW Erste analysts have slightly improved expectations regarding developments in the next six months. The perception of the current situation worsened in August, but nearly 86% of those consulted believe that the state of economy in the region is "acceptable".
The Central and Eastern Europe region includes Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
