Romania registered in June the best EU growth on industrial production compared to the same period last year, while at European level the indicator increased slightly, continuing to evolve on recession levels.
Therefore, the EU industrial production rose in June by 0.4% compared to the same month last year, with a growth rate of 0.3% in the Eurozone, according to the data presented Tuesday by Eurostat quoted by Mediafax.
The highest growth levels were registered in Romania (9.6%), Poland (5.3%) and Estonia (4.7%), the lowest rates were registered in Finland (-5.9%), Bulgaria (- 4.4%) and the Czech Republic (-3%).
Compared to May, the EU industrial production rose in June by 0.9%. In the euro area, the indicator rose by 0.7%.
Ireland (8.7%), Romania (5.7%) and Poland (3.1%) have shown the best developments while the steepest declines were recorded in the Netherlands (-4.1%), Portugal (-2.8%) and France (-1.5%).
