The government will raise the minimum wage as of May. Labour Minister Claudia Ana Costea claims that this minimum wage increase is meant to reduce poverty and close the gap between the minimum and the average wage in the economy.
Ana Costea also says that passing the unitary pay law might help bridge the wage gaps between various social categories.
