Romanians will have a macro prudential oversight committee, which will decide on the financial security of Romania, and it will have a power so high , it will override the Government and the Parliament.
The committee’s rules shall be binding on the Government, therefore lawyers point out that the structure is unconstitutional and moreover, that the NBR committee would censure the Government.
The information was presented Saturday on the Q & A show, on Antena 3.
Lawyer Gheorghe Piperea said Saturday on Antena 3, that he did not agree with this National Bank of Romania committee arguing that it seemed to him a "dangerous bill."
"It will have a power almost bigger than CSAT, which is unconstitutional," lawyer Gheorghe Piperea warned.
In his turn, Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici explained why this NBR committee was needed, in his view, claiming it was an "advisory board". In reply, lawyers contradicted him.
"It's a committee that makes recommendations based on information in the financial market," said Minister Teodorovici Saturday, on the show Q & A, on Antena 3.
