Electric cars are increasingly popular with Romanian drivers. Last year, they bought twice as many electric and hybrid automobiles as in 2014. In spite of this visible trend, Romania has made no plans to build car charging stations in the years to come.

In Romania, there is only one fast charging station at a car-dealer in Bucharest. In the rest of 50 or so, it takes 6 hours to charge your vehicle.
The necessary guide to financing the construction of quick charging stations is still to be completed by the Environmental Fund Administration, although it should have been a subject of public debate as early as May last year.
Last year, Romanian bought twice as many electric and hybrid cars as in 2014. 495 eco-friendly vehicles found their owners in Romania and 160 of them are electric cars.
