The Russian group Mechel sold for 230 lei (52 Euros) the four iron and steel plants  it owned  in Romania,  heavily indebted,   to  the Invest Nikarom company in Bucharest, controlled by two individuals of Russian citizenship, Mediafax reports.
The   transaction targeted   the company  Mechel East Europe Metallurgical Division SRL, the iron plants of Ductil Steel Buzău, Mechel  Câmpia Turzii, Mechel Târgovişte  and  Laminorul Brăila, according to a press release sent out Tuesday by the Russian group.

The Russian company  Mechel announced last year that it  wanted to sell the plants  it owned  in Romania for the amount of $ 150 million.


"Mechel  transferred the shares of all its assets  to the buyer Invest Nikarom SRL, from Romania. The value of the transaction  in a nominated amount is  of around  230 lei (around  70 US dollars). Invest Nikarom SRL bought the five assets  of the  Mechel Group - Ductil Steel Mechel, Câmpia Turzii, Mechel Târgovişte SA, Mechel East Europe Metallurgical Division SRL, Laminorul SA", the Russian company press release reads.

The company  Invest Nikarom has two associates with equal shares Chumakova Svetlana (55 years old) and  Chumakov Victor (58 years old ), both of Russian citizenship.



The company has a paid up share capital of 99,979 lei  and its activity is wholesale of machinery and equipment.
