It is good that Romania gave up, at least for the moment, the "objective to joining the euro area," Niels Schnecker said on the Thursday edition of the show "Daily Forecasts" on Antenna 3.
"You need to consider the fact that once we have joined the Euro zone, there’s nothing available from the monetary policy for us . In other words, we will compare to Germany, France, Italy, Luxemburg, etc," the journalist said on Antenna 3.
Schnecker added that, once in the Euro zone, the government of a state will not be able to create a "little inflation" to revive the economy, and that because "all fiscal policies would be made in Frankfurt".
