On Wednesday, Prime Minister Victor Ponta warned the ministers that he will not hesitate to replace them, if they do not fulfil the commitments undertaken in the agreement with international financial institutions, IMF, European Commission and World Bank.

"I will not hesitate to replace the ministers that can't fulfill these tasks, as this sign of predictability and stability is essential for Romania. (...) All ministers are compelled to answer the requests of Prime Minister Deputy 24 hours per day. He will inform us on a daily basis, if necessary, on any arrears and I ask all of you to take steps to make sure that there will be no such arrears, and on 25-26 of July, when we meet the delegation of the international financial institutions, our obligations will be fulfilled 99.9%. This is essential in order to maintain economic stability and to keep our country ratings and international assessments", Ponta told his Cabinet members, Agerpres reports .

He announced that, during their Wednesday meeting, Finance Minister Florin Georgescu will present the progress of the obligations assumed by Romania in the agreement with IMF, European Commission and World Bank.

The Premier added that respecting the IMF and EC commitments is essential to maintain economic stability and the country ratings.
