"The Chinese are, probably, the nation being courted currently by all the major democracies of the world. China is among the richest countries in the world, if not the richest, and with the highest investments available in full economic recess, " Radu Tudor explained.
"I would not minimize this expression with the tiger, as it is an expression that has been used for 20 years by Western economists to characterize the booming economies in Southeast Asia which have reinstated an entire continent on the orbit. Others would have probably given large amounts of money or would have made huge concessions to have the same thing said about them", the journalist continued.
"When such an important prime minister of such a rich country, comes and praises your country and says he’ll make investments, you should mark this as a very fortunate thing for Romania. When China announces investments of several billion Euros in your country, that country’s rating is rising and the interest from other companies, of a different nature will be just as big.
"Even if they are communist and communism gives me the chills, we must say one thing: at the moment there are important Western analysts who say it's good for Romania that they chose China, not Russia," Radu Tudor concluded.
