Retail sales in decline. Romania recorded the largest decrease across the EU

Our country has registered in December  the largest monthly decline across EU in  retail sales by 3.2% compared to November. At European level, the decline stood at 0.6%, according to data published by Eurostat.
 According to a press release from the EU's statistical office, the biggest monthly decline in the EU, according to  volume were recorded in Romania (-3.2%), Spain (-2.2%) and Slovenia (-2.1% ), while  for Poland (2.2%) and Estonia (1.9%).

The Eurostat report was based on data collected from 21 states. Among them, the  retail sales fell in 12 states, rose in 8 countries  and stagnated in Finland.
