There are over one  hundred wealthy persons in Romania whose fortunes exceed  30 million dollars. The amounts held by them could triple in the upcoming years, a report on the overall distribution of the rich says.

We have 137 Romanians holding fortunes of  at least 30 million dollars, the threshold set to count the world’s  ultra-rich. And they will defy  the economic recess because they will  increase in number by one thirds  over the  next decade, according to a study on the fortunes of the rich.


Last year, the number of  the ultra-rich  in the world increased by 5%. This means an additional 8,700 new people. 

And their ranks are increasing. This segment of the population will increase by 50% over the next ten years. This means that almost 300,000 people will hold  possessions of over  30 million dollars each.
