A Romanian product received a highly coveted distinction in the food industry. It is a jam that has been awarded two Michelin stars.

The announcement was made by Bibiana Stănciulov, general manager of Sonipex Serv Com, during the ‘’On the Today’s Agenda” show.
"The product that I make has just been awarded in Brussels , two hours ago, two Michelin stars. It is very rare, the maximum is three stars, " Stanciulov said.

What are Michelin stars?.
Michelin stars are the most coveted award in the culinary field. The Michelin stars story is related to the renowned Michelin tire manufacturing company that produced a guide in an attempt to popularize tourism and the sales of car tires.

Initially, the guide included information about car maintenance, maps, mechanics lists and addresses of restaurants and hotels. Since 1926, the guide began to recommend exceptional restaurants. That was also the year when the famous Michelin star appeared .
The Objectives granted three stars mean "they are worth travelling to", the two stars ones - "they are worth taking a detour to get to them", while those with a star are considered "interesting".
