We work less than the Turks, but more than the Italians. That does not mean we are better paid. On the contrary. Romania is among the countries with the lowest wages in the EU.

The differences amount to tens of Euros, although we are more productive than others.

Romania ranks second to last in the top of minimum wages across Europe. Moreover, in our country the minimum wages is 179 Euros. The only ones with wages lower than us are the Bulgarians, with a minimum wage of 159 Euros per month.

The highest minimum wage in the EU belongs to Luxemburg, 1,874 Euros gross salary.
