Bakery manufacturer Dobrogea Group, which owns the Eugenia brand of biscuits with cream, filed for insolvency, according to a recorded file registered at Constanta Court earlier this week. Dobrogea is the only company in the milling and bakery industry that has entered a difficult financial situation on account of the economic recess.
The company Spicul SA entered into insolvency proceedings several years ago. According to the latest published data, Dobrogea Group ended 2011 with registered losses of almost four million and debts of over 95 million lei.
Dobrogea Grup is a private company with 100% Romanian capital and for the last 50 years has been one of the leading manufacturers in the field of milling and baking in Romania.
