Romania has got the least money from the European Union in the upcoming budget year. All the other members are granted as much as 2,000 euros per capita and Romania only has half.

The Premier announced that the Government has an ambitious goal: to attract 80% of the funds.

Romania managed to get for the period 2014-2020 an overall of nearly 40 billion euros - structural and cohesion funds plus agriculture and fisheries funds.

The amount is 18% higher than the one in the allocated period 2007-2013, but is too little to the country's needs.

Business environment representatives complain that they face many obstacles in the co-financing of the European projects. The first obstacles show up from the projects appraisal period.

After many years, when Romania has lost more than it earned, the country has got now a very good absorption rate.

In order to preserve this line, the funds accessing procedures should be simplified a lot.

Bureaucracy is the only one to throw obstacles in the way of those who want to access European Funds. The little money left disappears in the pockets of the fraudsters.

Opportunities and what needs to be done to raise the absorption of European funds to a level as high as possible is a topic to be addressed further in the forums organized by Intact Media Group.
