The Government will start a program of redundancies in 16 companies in the energy sector, the restructuring and reorganization projects to be implemented between 2013-2018.
The employees laid off will receive severance payments and a monthly additional income, Mediafax reports.
The Welfare system which will be granted to the people to be laid off by collective redundancies earlier this year and until 2018, following the restructuring and reorganization of state companies, has already been drafted by the Government and will be introduced over next period.
On this list there were included: Hunedoara Energy Complex, the National Society for the Mines Close and Conservation Valea Jiului, the National Uranium Company, Oltenia Energy Complex, the National Salt Company, the National Coal Company Petrosani, the Autonomous Company for Nuclear Activities Drobeta Turnu Severin, the National Company for Copper, Gold and Iron Minvest Deva, along its subsidiaries, Cuprumin Abrud, Baita Stei, the National Coal Company Ploiesti, its subsidiaries, Termoelectrica, Electrocentrale Group, Electrocentrale Galati Electrocentrale Bucharest, Electrica with its subsidiaries, and Transelectrica also with its subsidiaries ..
The program of redundancies also comprises a list of companies that could hire the employees made redundant, but only for conservation activities, closure, greening, post-closure monitoring of the mines. The list features Minvest Deva, the National Mine Closure Valea Jiului, Remin Baia Mare, with its subsidiaries, the National Uranium Company Bucharest, Ploiesti National Coal Company, its subsidiaries, Oltenia Energy Complex, The National Salt Company Bucharest, Cuprun Min Abrud, Baita Stei.
The restructuring programs must include the "employees falling within the provisions of Law 263/2010 on old-age pensions, reducing the standard retirement age, the measure being applied elected members of the executive leadership of the trade unions included", the document states
The people dismissed will receive unemployment benefits, and additional monthly income payments granted in accordance with the applicable labor contracts in each company.
