Wine Exporters in Romania will not attend the Bordeaux Vinexpo trade fair because the Economy Ministry did not find a firm to set up the presentation and no exceptional solution for funding and participation has been found either, the Association of Producers and Exporters of Wines say.
"The failure occurs because the auctions organized by the ministry were not attended by any company providing such services , nor any exceptional solutions for financing and participating in the fair was found , despite the interventions of the Wine Exporters' Association (APEV), made at all levels.
Accordingly, Romania's Press Centre Pavilion located in the vicinity of the fair will remain unoccupied and undeveloped, with negative consequences hard to predict at this time, "reads a press release of the association, according to Mediafax.
APEV shows that the non-participation of Romania will cause severe damage to both the country's image and to the Romanian wine exporters.
The fair takes place from June 14 to 18. The budget allocated for the pavilion’s arrangement amounted to 563,700 lei, including VAT
