The Government excludes the involvement of a foreign institution in the management of the two production units of nuclear power.
However, it is not yet known when the two reactors are scheduled to become operational, although so far huge amounts of money have been spent for their construction.
"We have already spent a billion dollar on heavy water and on the facilities and existing buildings. Therefore, we cannot afford to stop. We have to continue to complete this nuclear program, “Minister for Energy, Razvan Nicolescu said on the " Income " show.
"The operation of Units 3 and 4 must be performed by a Romanian company. We exclude the possibility of assigning their operation to another company, " Nicolescu said.
