Romania is among the countries with the highest price in gasoline in the world, calculated according to the purchasing power. We spend a minimum wage for two fill ups at the gas pump. Contrary to Venezuela, where a liter of gasoline is . .. almost for free.


Our country is ranked eighth in the top gas prices at the pump, according to Bloomberg data. This is because, a Romanian can only buy 15 liters of gas with a work day’s pay . A liter costs, on average, $ 1.5, and we need four work days ‘pay to fill up a tank of gasoline .
By comparison, the French and the British can afford to buy 60 liters. Our Bulgarian neighbors are ranked lower. With a work day’s pay they can only buy 13 liters of gasoline.



The Pakistanis top the charts, they can hardly earn four dollars a day, while a liter of gasoline costs 88 cents. They are followed by the drivers in India and the Philippines who can buy 4 respectively 6 liters of gas with their daily income.



Instead, Kuwait ranks first among the ones with the lowest gas price at the pump. A liter of gasoline costs 18 cents, and the average daily income exceeds $ 120. Which means that , every day, the drivers in this country can buy almost 700 liters of gasoline.
