The American companies have very clear intentions to invest in Romania, premier Ponta stated, quoted by Mediafax.
"I was very keen on dedicating the first day of the visit to economic meetings in particular. I’ve had the opportunity to present the current situation of Romania, a country that comes out after years of crisis and difficulties, which , for the U.S. companies can be more than a national market, but also a regional partner. Honestly, all the reactions I have received from the companies that participated in this meetings, companies whose joint turnover is about 5-6 times the GDP of Romania , were reactions of trust and satisfaction for the current state of investments and their clear intentions for the future, "said Ponta.
The Premier met in Washington with the representatives of the following companies: Motorola, HP, Exxon, Chevron, and IBM.
