The Romanian settled in the UK, wrote the Book of Mirrors which has already been taken by publishers from 23 countries – with up to 11 publishers in each country participating in auctions . Smaller countries, such as Iceland, which tend to wait until an English version has proved its potential in the UK or US, also bought rights prior to its publication in 2017.
