“The Romanian classical music prodigy” learned to play the piano at five years old , he  has signed more than 100 works for  choir and  orchestra and two years ago  he started his career  as a conductor.

We are talking about a child who was not content to fly only on the staff  but also in real life. At 17, he successfully combines the hours spent in front of the piano  with those spent on the pilot seat.

Matthew Mihăescu made his debut  on  the stage of the  Romanian Athenaeum at  10 years old  in a three hours concert when   some  of the major works that he had composed were played. He  currently has over 100 works for piano and orchestra.

His passion for his music takes most of the time, but slowly, slowly he allowed  in his life  time for another adolescent passions too.

Now Matthew has replaced  the toys by  real airplanes. Every week he  goes  to the  Romanian Airclub  where he has been attending flying lessons for the past five months.

He was admitted third on the lists of sixteen freshmen admitted to the flight classes with  ultra light engine airplane.

Matei does not listen to music in his head set but he enjoys the feeling. It is just like he always jokes about himself, with his head in the clouds…..  literally.
