Liberal MPs went on warning strike yesterday to protest against the Legislature's failure to pass the mail voting law. This protest will not be followed by a lawmakers' strike, as rumoured before.
Mail voting should be approved by November, for Romanians to be able to vote by mail in next year's parliamentary elections.
That's because the Constitutional Court and the Venice Commission ruled that the legislation cannot be amended less than a year before holding a ballot.
