“It is not clear to me whether this offer is valid for Romania. There are other countries that are in trouble. In my opinion, he is trying to prove to those who are his followers that he will have a future in politics. His announcement is part of a poker game. I understand that Basescu wants to put the country on tracks. The important thing is that the train should no longer pass by there”, Adrian Nastase stated on Antena 3.
Năstase criticize the role of president of Traian Băsescu in the current political conflict in Romania and accuses him that he turned from a "president player" in a mere "gambler who no longer observes the Constitution’s rules".
"Traian Băsescu should have been, according to the Constitution a chair umpire. He chose to be a president "player". Now he is just a gambler. And a gambler who does not observe the rules of the Constitution. He positions himself as leader of the Opposition", Adrian Năstase stated.
