„Mr. Ponta forged this elections campaign just as Mr. Băsescu did”, the Liberal leader said during a press conference.
“All the actions he performs he does them in his capacity of prime minister, with a prime minister’s helicopter, with a prime minister’s motorcade, with all these things that are granted by his executive office, paid from public funds, obviously, transforming it into a party action. Even the governmental intervention against the effect of floods turned into an elections campaign”, Antonescu accused.
Invited on the Subjective show, on Antena 3, the PC chairman, Daniel Constantin, replied to his Liberal counterpart.
“I do not have the same liberty in speaking out as Crin Antonescu does when talking about me or Victor Ponta or anyone else. Yesterday he said good things about us, today you can see how he talks and how he characterizes us”, Constantin said.
“I regret to say that I have not expected that Mr. Crin Antonescu would have such a behavior from one day to another. But it is more and more obvious that the PNL will have the intention of going back, of restoring such an important project like the USL has been”.
„For Crin Antonescu it is the only chance to remain at the forefront of the Romanian politics", Daniel Constantin concluded.
