Former President Traian Basescu said on Monday in an interview on national television, about the conviction of Monica Ridzi and of some ministers from the Boc Government that he did not support anyone before justice and "no one has found a cosy place ", showing that " the judiciary must do their job. "

"I, if you remember, I have not supported anybody before justice and no one has found a cozy place with me. That includes also the convicted, we do not refer to Videanu who is not convicted, those convicted sit in the gallery Muresan, Voiculescu, large gallery of Ministers, because we have almost an entire government sentenced. The judiciary must do their job, " the former president said.
Băsescu also added that " it is not the president’s mission to look after each minister. A president’s mission is to let the institution operate ", Băsescu added on TVR.
