In September 2, 2015, Lumeajustitiei.ro revealed that Dan Voiculescu had asked the Bucharest Court to send rogatory committees worldwide to identify his accounts and his daughters accounts as well as all the movable and immovable properties.
According to judicial sources, the Bucharest Court confirmed that they prepared and submitted applications for setting up rogatory committees after Dan Voiculescu requested the sending of international rogatory committees to look for his accounts, movable and immovable properties on his name and on the name of his family: "In relation to the existing data in the case file , applications have been drafted for rogatory committees and after their reception, according to the law, the execution documents will be drafted in agreement with the responses communicated" Luju.ro reads.
Dan Voiculescu's approach came in the context of the desperate efforts by judge Camelia Bogdan from the Court of Appeal to find fortunes on his name or on his daughters, at all costs.
Voiculescu consented that the results of the checks be made public, thus wanting to dispel any suspicion about his hidden fortunes in other countries.
