Constantin: PC will support the Parliament’s declaration calling for Traian Băsescu’s resignation

PC President Daniel Constantin, stated Monday that politically  the suspension of the President, Traian Basescu from office is not  yet required as a consequence of the legal issues his brother is facing, but assured that Conservative lawmakers will vote for a political declaration that will demand the resignation of President Basescu.

"I think that from a political point of view  the suspension is not imposed. Again, politically, I do not think we need instability at the moment. But as the investigation progresses, and if there are new  evidence coming up. At the moment I think that politically  it is not the case, but we will analyze as investigation progresses",  Constantin said.

He said that  PC  lawmakers will be present and vote in favor of a political declaration by the Parliament to urge President Traian Basescu to resign.
