Dan Diaconescu, entered the race for president on behalf of the People’s Party, was the guest of  Mihai Gâdea, on the Tuesday evening edition of the show  “The President’s Office".

The People’s Party candidate  in the presidential elections spoke about his candidacy and the Romanian political class.

How Romania would look like with  Dan Diaconescu president?

“ I am standing out from the other 13 opponents for several reason. Almost  all 13 have led this country over the last 25 years, one way or the other(...).I want to show you my honesty and I want viewers to ask themselves when they go to vote on November 2, if they are satisfied with their lives now they should  vote for Mr. Ponta, because Mr. Ponta is leading  today Romania. If they were satisfied with their lives until two years ago when the Liberals were power, they should vote with Mr. Klaus Iohannis, and if they were satisfied with their lives in between 2005-2008 they should vote for Mrs. Udrea or Mrs.  Macovei, two representatives of that regime”, Dan Diaconescu said.
"If they have been satisfied with their lives over the past 25 years, I  ask them to vote for Mr. Kelemen Hunor, whose party has been  in power in these years," he added.

Here are the most important statements of  Dan Diaconescu:

I am addressing those who are dissatisfied with their lives today, and I am addressing those who have never came out to vote, because they said they did not have whom to vote.

I believe the Romanians have missed an opportunity similar to the one they are meeting now, in November, at the Ion Raţiu moment. (...). He stood out through certain qualities. I am a kind of Ion Ratiu, only at a much smaller scale.

What  sensational measure would Dan Diaconescu take?

I have, among 100 measures, about 70 that do not cost any money. I give you a few examples: the compulsory vote, introducing the jury in the judicial system.
I mean to assure the people that they have what to come out to vote for on the November 2. If you do not want me nor the others, go to voting and cancel the ballot, so that elections should stop being defrauded.
What  did Dan Diaconescu speak about with Traian Băsescu?

Dan Diaconescu spoke Tuesday on Antenna 3 about a conversation he had in 2010 with president  Traian Băsescu. According to the  PP-DD candidate in the presidential elections, the discussion he had with  Băsescu  cost him his freedom.

View in the video below what  Diaconescu says about the president’s involvement in his arrest.

I have a hunch that Mr. Ponta, if he became president, he would appoint Mr. Băsescu prime minister.

-Crin Antonescu is more disappeared than  Elodia.

Who would Dan Diaconescu appoint in key position?

If I became president, prime minister will be the one rated third.

If I win the presidential finals, a new coalition might come up and propose Traian Băsescu prime minister. I will obviously resign then.

How  Dan Diaconescu appreciates the other candidates in the presidential elections?

Klaus Iohannis- a child trafficker.

Victor Ponta- I am afraid he might appoint  Băsescu prime minister.

I am very sure that I will win! I studied statistics in college, I used to be quite a nerd before the Revolution.

For almost 10 year we have had elections which were won by those whose names ended in –ESCU. I am counting on this and on my invincible plan.

I believe I am a very good journalist.

They should raise me a statue at the entrance in the Oltchim chemical plant. If I had not attended the tender, the chemical plant would have been stricken off by the Polish company.

I, 25 years ago, got hired in a factory. I would push a wheelbarrow 8 hours a day, I kept pushing that wheelbarrow and dreamt of being a journalist.

I used to dream on interviewing  Nicolae Ceauşescu.

I do not need the glory, nor the money. I already have both. (...) My biggest mistake is that I  did not run in the 2009 presidential elections.

How does the family of candidate Dan Diaconescu look like?

Dona, the daughter of  Dan Diaconescu, has had her first TV appearance Tuesday, on the Daily Summary."

The beautiful girl  aged  nine, the biggest supporter of Dan Diaconescu, testified that she likes her father more in reality than on TV.
