"For many Romanians, going on pilgrimage in these days represents the last hope for the better. In a poor society where the common man who has a conscience and morality is marginalized, the Church’s role is significant. A minimum spiritual education provides balance to a nation. A man with meaningful landmarks makes the right choices, "wrote Dan Voiculescu.
Therefore, prof. Dan Voiculescu reminds about the need to increase the Church’s involvement in the Romanian society.
"Acting in a balanced way, without tensions, without excess, the Church can provide useful role models to the Romanian society", Dan Voiculescu writes on his blog.
Professor Dan Voiculescu got involved in many social benefit projects with the Church. For instance, he opened seven years ago the first canteen for the poor in district 4, at the initiative of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. The same foundation financed the renovation of a church in the North of the country, which can be found now at the Village Museum in Bucharest.
