The over taxation would have collected 100 million Euros to the state budget, but the Deputy PM considers the over taxation the PSD wants as merely a political measure, the pesurse.ro website argues.
In a recording released on the mentioned website, the Deputy PM Daniel Chiţoiu admits during the secret meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the PNL held on May 16, that an amount of money could have been collected to the state budget through this measure. Chiţoiu argues instead that he did not want the PSD to create an electoral advantage for themselves.
‘The amounts that would have been collected would reach something like 100 million Euros, but they wanted to implement this as a political measure, because they would take money from the rich – the middle class, cover pension payments for the military or for the poor families to cover the price gap generated by the increase in gas price’, Daniel Chiţoiu says.
‘Therefore, they wanted to take a political measure, to support the left wing electorate. We have opposed it , we have rejected it absolutely, they might bring it up again, but as it is not written in the Government Plan we will be against it , ’ Daniel Chiţoiu explained.
That’s not the only topic that the Deputy PM and the government he is a part of seem to disagree on. Another target for the Liberal Minister seems to be the government Emergency ordinance to fight tax evasion in advertising.
According to the National daily, the Ponta government decided to clean out the black market in the advertising industry, whose beneficiaries would transfer the earnings on a "natural person" enterprise as part of an evasions system who got over the advertising market. Now the fraudsters are seeking support with Minister Chitoiu to change the Emergency ordinance being debated in the Senate.
