PSD president, Liviu Dragnea, explained Monday after the occurence of a scandal within the Bucharest branch of the party that such public outrages are not appropriate.

"The PSD's leadership does not subscribe to the letter by Codrin Stefanescu and he should have consulted with the party leadership.
I will not allow anyone to speak for the party. The branches across country are concerned now to start organizing elections, electoral structures, a quite laborious process of drafting candidates lists, we do not need that in Bucharest. Members angry with other members, meetings, this is not allowed. Tomorrow, the Executive Committee will take some important decisions for the party, for the organization in Bucharest. I talked to everyone, very firm decisions are next. "
Asked if he had talked to Madalin Voicu, after he announced that he no longer wanted to run for Parliament Dragnea explained that it was not a singular case.
"There are many colleagues who said they do not want to run for the party."
