PSD president, Victor Ponta, stated Thursday, after the party meeting, that "USL no longer exists", because Crin Antonescu "killed" it.
PSD Congress will take place on 6 and 7 September, on which occasion the party's candidate in the presidential elections will be established while Dragnea gets ready to "take out" the Liberals who hold government positions according to the USL protocol.
Also, behind closed doors it was stated that USL was dead, which was why the Heads of decentralized services, the deputy mayors, the prefects and the deputy prefects since the Liberal Social Union will be changed.

PSD President Victor Ponta said Thursday at the beginning of the CExN PSD meeting that he personally would like to be prime minister until 2016, but if he should have to run for president, he will run with pleasure and confidence.
Also, another issue that was discussed in the PSD meeting was that VAT could decrease depending on negotiations with the IMF.
