FACIAS: The Romanian candidates in the European elections ignore European topics

Domestic issues prevail in the candidates speeches in the European elections  of May 25. This is the conclusion of a debate organized by FACIAS at  the Palace of Parliament about the topics that should be found  in the speeches of the Romanian candidates to the European elections. 

Although Romania’s accession to Schengen is a hot topic for many Romanians, it does not feature the speeches of the candidates to the European Parliament.  

Moreover the topics approached during the  electoral meetings have to do with domestic issues, without too many references  to the European ones.  Although their speeches are  rather focused  on the internal issues, the MEPs already know what Europe needs to progress.  

The FACIAS debate was attended by MPs, representatives of the civil society and MEPs.
