Former Interior Minister Cristian David has been indicted on charges of bribery.
Prosecutors accuse David that he received 500,000 euros in bribes to intervene with a prefect to intervene so that a plot of land of 15 hectares in the municipality be restituted.
In 2008, when he was minister, David had asked and received through an intermediary 500,000 euros to intervene with the Buzau city prefect, so as to have a land of 15 hectares restituted.
To conceal the bribery, he had completed several selling and buying contracts , concerning fictitious real estate transactions.
Cristian David was denounced in 2014 and DNA requested on 10 November 2014, the opinion of the president for the prosecution of former Minister of Interior, for bribery.
