Petre Roman cannot challenge anymore the incompatibility report drafted by ANI on his name, the MP’s request for review of the decision to cancel his application for summons of the National Integrity Agency has been rejected by the Bucharest Court, Mediafax informs.
Following the Tuesday decision of the Court, the ANI report is valid, which found that the MP was incompatible.
Petre Roman challenged the incompatibility report at the Bucharest Court in April 1, 2014, the court rejected his appeal on September 9, 2014. Among the reasons for the annulment of the lawsuit filed by Roman against ANI there was also the fact that he did not submit to file evidence to demonstrate that he had paid the stamp duty.
On the other hand, the competent court to cancel the ANI report is the Court of Appeal and Petre Roman should have had to challenge the report within 15 days of receipt before this court, which he did not.
The National Integrity Agency has asked the Chamber of Deputies to dismiss Petre Roman, after the incompatibility report was final and the Bucharest Court of Appeal announced that no challenge against it was file in this case.
In March 2014, ANI found that 22 deputies and ten senators, including Petre Roman and Sorin Iliesiu were in conflict because they held other functions.
According to ANI, Petre Roman has been in incompatibility since December 20, 2012, because he held simultaneously the quality of legal authorized person - Roman V. Petre freelancer.
