"The strategy applies equally to the state, society and the citizen. The strategy refers to defense and national security as a whole. (...)Strong Romania in Europe and in the world - this is the future that we build and the vision that we used to base our defense strategy on "said Klaus Iohannis, before the reunited plenum of Parliament.
Iohannis said Romania is stronger if democratic institutions are strong and if citizens are defended and served.
"A strong Romania knows how to protect its values, national assets and resources, to protect the things that make it unique," Iohannis said.
The National Defense Strategy for the period 2015-2019 entitled "A strong Romania in Europe and in the world" is divided into four chapters: "Defining national security interests and objectives", "Evaluation of the international security environment ',' Threats, risks and vulnerabilities", " Courses of action and the main ways to ensure national security of Romania ".
