Journalist Sorina Matei lost the lawsuit filed by Dan Voiculescu. The court rebuffed the public accusations the journalist made against professor Dan Voiculescu that he would have blackmailed Crin Anontescu. The court concluded that the founding president of the Conservative Party has never made statements to this effect, as claimed by Sorina Matei.
Bucharest Court shot down the charge made by journalist Sorina Matei, that Professor Dan Voiculescu would have blackmailed Crin Antonescu to get control of the Ministry of Justice.
"One of the lies said against me has been dismantled in court. Bucharest Court ruled that the statement is not mine and also that the act was wrongful. Under these conditions, the reaction of every person of good will should publicly assume the error. They probably will not do that , we will see.”

Another case in which, this time, former President Traian Basescu was sued by Professor Dan Voiculescu is before the courts. The 5th District Court has already ruled on this issue on March 27, 2013 and ruled in favor of Professor Dan Voiculescu. That's because the founding president of the Conservative Party has never said that "justice must be controlled" as Traian Basescu grossly lied before the Parliament in July 2012. The case is now in appeal.
