Prime Minister Victor Ponta attacks president Klaus Iohannis.
In an interview for the French publication L'Express, the Head of Government argues that Iohannis’s entourage has a bad influence over the president. Ponta hints that the president is being ordered and that acts biased towards people in his entourage.
"I was disappointed. In the last six months, Klaus Iohannis acted as the referee that the country needs, but in recent days he was only a party, on the part of his own party. I noticed that I was summoned to the DNA exactly when the opposition demanded a vote of confidence in Parliament. Nobody believes that to be a coincidence. I think the opposition is using the prosecutors for a political purpose (...) ", Prime Minister Ponta said.
The Prime Minister has also told the French journalists that he would resign if found guilty in the trial who in which he is accused of complicity to forgery and tax evasion.
