Prime Minister Victor Ponta has posted in French, on Twitter,  a message saying he is deeply shocked by the attack in Paris and sends his condolences to the victims' families and the French people. "I am deeply shocked by the information about the attack in Paris. Our condolences to the families of the victims and the French people," Ponta writes in French,  on Twitter.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta canceled the presentation of the  European Funds Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture results, focused on the absorption of European funds, scheduled for 15:00 hours  at Victoria Palace, adding that he took this decision in view of the situation in France.

"We are expecting  to see the developments related to the situation in France. The presentation of the  European funds can wait," Ponta said for  Mediafax.

Government sources also said that results presentation  was inappropriate given the attacks in France.


At least 12 people were killed and four were injured in the Wednesday attack on  the headquarters of the French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo.
