Prime Minister Victor Ponta replied on the  Monday night's edition of the Daily Summary show  to the attack launched by Traian Basescu. President  Basescu said he would do anything to prevent Prime Minister Ponta from becoming  president of Romania.

The PSD leader Victor Ponta said  that  the Prime Minister treated it  like a compliment that President Traian Basescu feared him as a possible future president of the country, but conveyed to him: "You cannot get away from what you fear the most!"

„Mr.  Băsescu’s statement,  I took it as a compliment  because it means I am the only one he is afraid of", PM Ponta said. 

" The fact that I am the only one he is afraid of is a good thing, I am proud of it and my pledge is a quoatation of Traian Băsescu: You cannot get away from what you fear the most”, the prime minister added.
