President Klaus Iohannis on his page on the social networking Facebook wrote about his intention during his term in office to regularly attend the religious ceremonies of the various cults that are recognised by the law in our country.
The President on Saturday morning attended the liturgical service at the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral in Sibiu.
The service was held by the Metropolitan of Ardeal and Archbishop of Sibiu, Laurentiu Streza.
The Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral in Sibiu, dedicated to the Trinity, was built taking Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople as a model, only that it was made smaller. Ever since its sanctification, the Cathedral became the headquarters of the Sibiu Archdiocese and the Metropolis of Ardeal.
