At the same time, the journalist qualified the PNL’s actions as one of the biggest frauds committed against the Romanians.
“It is, unfortunately, one of the biggest frauds that Crin Antonescu and the PNL are committing against the Romanian voters and that is to strike a deal with his opponent before the elections. (...) It is a repulsive thing, devoid of any character”, Radu Tudor commented Tuesday on Antena 3.
The analyst believes that these actions of the Liberals take the party in the wrong direction.
"After all these decisions of Crin Antonescu, I am astounded that the PNL accepts them with their heads down and nobody stands up to say they are heading towards a dead end at the highest speed", Tudor said.
Monday, PNL President Crin Antonescu announced that he would propose to the Liberal MEPs to join the EPP Group in the European Parliament in the party’s leadership meeting.
The Liberal leader said that the PNL’s option is very clear for the right wing, for a president of the European Commission from the EPP, adding that there is a doctrinal compatibility of strategic policy orientation between the EPP and the Liberals, a party of the right wing.
