The "Meeting Point" producer Radu Tudor commented on the “Weekend Edition” show, the episode in Iasi when President Traian Basescu was booed.
In his opinion, President Traian Basescu is heading at high speed towards a third suspension following his recent action.
“He acknowledged that he was at the origin of the Peoples Movement Party establishment, which makes him a de facto member of the party, which is in serious violation of the Constitution. As you can see in the images, he is surrounded by the SPP officers while heading to one of his party’s electoral events. I understand that he took a flight on an helicopter to get there. We are being told that there isn’t any money for the country’s needs and yet for the party and for Mrs. Udrea money can be found. Over 80% of Romania’s population opposes Traian Băsescu and his political parties. In other words, an impressive majority of the population does not agree with Basescu and this will show in all the meetings he will hold for his party”, Radu Tudor explained.
"I have explicitly asked the CCR judges to consider and read what I‘ve posted today on the blog. In an absolutely clear manner to everyone, with a minimum political education, the statement that Traian Basescu made yesterday saying he had planned and decided to create this party, has got a serious political and constitutional effect. The CCR judges cannot dodge a ruling on what Traian Basescu said yesterday. I hope that on May 21, the people there will the reason and decency to rule on the statement made yesterday, May 17, by President Traian Basescu at a meeting of the PMP ", Radu Tudor said.
