The Standing Bureau assigned Rovana Plumb Wednesday with a unanimity of votes to act as president of the PSD.
Asked after the BPN meeting about the fact that the decision was taken with a unanimity of votes, Victor Ponta argued that it meant the PSD was a united party.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Sunday, in a letter posted on Facebook addressed to the leaders of the Social Democrats his decision "not to hold any leadership position" in PSD, until he proved his innocence before the charges being brought against him in court.
