The Parliament decided on July 6, 2012, with 256 votes "for", that the president should leave the Cotroceni Palace. ALDE President Graham Watson spoke Sunday during the show "Sequential Adrian Ursu " about Traian Basescu’s behavior.
„I recall very vividly, two years ago, the vote in the middle of the summer, when 7,4 million people came out and voted to impeach the then president, it strikes me that it was in fact a remarkable rising of the Romanians against the president”, Graham Watson said on Antena 3.
"A man like Mr. Basescu, claimed to be a champion of justice, to let himself set up, who cares deeply for the justice and the many allegations ... There are too many allegations against his family, and I believe people in Romania will draw their own conclusions", Graham Watson added.
